Kieran Kelly
Digital Marketing

It's all about work life balance! With the high-speed internet at New Work Junction, I can work on exciting projects with clients all from over the world as well as enjoying the great quality of life that Kilkenny has to offer. It's also good to separate home life from work life at a fraction of the cost of running my own office.

Howard Triggs

I have worked in brewing and process engineering for the food and drinks industry for nearly 30 years, and have been self-employed for the last 12, trading as VGraph, helping clients to design, operate, manage and improve manufacturing plant. NWJ is an ideal base - a quiet space in which to develop ideas and designs.

Capturing opinion data is important for any business that wants to succeed, and that’s where Sarah Maher comes in! Currently based in Kilkenny, Sarah works for Userneeds, which provides market research projects to customers globally. Although Userneeds is a Danish company headquartered in Copenhagen, New Work Junction has given Sarah the opportunity to have an Irish base from which to meet with customers, hold meetings and generally be a lot closer to her Irish customers, all with the help of fast broadband and unlimited fig rolls!

Captivate Presentations

At Captivate Presentations, we build creative and effective B2B presentations, support companies with Messaging Consultancy and deliver workshops in Presenter Training and Engagement. We are a presentation design agency with a passion to help clients achieve all of their visual communication needs, be it live action filming, an information flow document, all the way through to your website and SEO.  As a Sales Presentation Consultant at Captivate Presentations, working at New Work Junction has given me the flexibility to work remotely from my head office, saving time, money and giving peace of mind.

I needed a space, which was cost effective, gave me access to quick reliable internet connections, VOIP lines and an environment where I was working on my own but with the benefits of an extended team – good coffee room chats, lunchtime brain storming ideas and the odd social evening thrown in.  New Work Junction co-working space offers all that and more. Having worked at home for 10 years for a national start-up recycling company, I found it isolating.  Working in NWJ, I am still ‘on my own’ but have the advantage of seeing people throughout my working day.  It is much more sociable and I know that I can bounce ideas off my co-workers even though they may not be in my field of work. All in all, a great place to work if you are thinking of remote working.

Excel Macro Mastery

I have worked as a Software Engineer for almost 20 years. The industries where I have worked include finance, automotive, tourism and medical. I now run my own online business focusing specifically on Excel VBA(Macros). NWJ means high-speed WiFi with no expensive office fees, a friendly environment, interesting people and a comfortable working area.

Bord na Móna

I work as an Accountant in Newbridge with Bord na Móna and this involves a daily commute of 2 hours.
I find working in NWJ hugely beneficial not just in terms of the commute but also as a place to work; I find I get more work done here as there is less distractions/interruptions and there is a good work environment where everyone respects their colleagues. I work one to two days a week out of NWJ and would like to increase this if possible. There is a good mix of people and the WiFi connection is very good; The canteen facilities are good and there is a car-park nearby.

Amelie Chartton
ShootCities.Com

Offers photographic tours, in which, amateurs of photography and beautiful landscapes, will be able to visit and immortalize the authentic city of Barcelona (and much more soon) while learning professional tips, from a professional photographer. The workshops are taking place in small groups for a better access to the photographer’s personalized attention and knowledge and will discover remote places of Barcelona for a unique approach of a touristic city.

Vincent de Phily

I've been working remotely since 2007, writing server-side telematics software. Working in your own private office takes a lot more energy than working amongst other people. More than just good workplace amenities, NWJ has a mix of friendly members with varied profiles, keeping things interesting.

I’ve been working as a freelance graphic designer for a few years now, initially I worked from home which takes a lot of discipline and can be isolating. Then I found New Work Junction, wish I found it sooner as it is a lifesaver and very reasonably priced - all inclusive pricing so no surprises at the end of the month! It’s a great place to work, friendly atmosphere, excellent wifi and lots of free coffee!!

Yeco

Yeco makes touchscreen software for music production. We formed our company in July 2015 and moved to NWJ almost immediately.  It is ideal for anyone starting a business, which is difficult enough without the hassle and expense of finding your own office, fitting it out and paying rent, bills and rates. Not to mention that most new businesses aren't in a position to be signing a lease for an extended period. We've also benefitted hugely from being surrounded by so many knowledgeable people for advice and ideas.
